Misidentification tools

General guidelines:

  1. Identify where [object of interest] falls on each of the spectral Big Five traits.
  2. Begin eliminating types according to disjunctions between correlations.
  3. Apply Freud's triad to whittle down list of possibilities.
  4. If misidentification is [1 vs 6, 3 vs 7, 3 vs 8, or 5 vs 9], apply the respective tool.

To demonstrate that an individual is a member of a type, it is good practice to use the proof system. Essentially, if your argument is that someone is a 5, you must first sketch their big five profile, then use the freud's triad and miscellaneous tools to differentiate them from lookalike types. You could say things like, I can prove this person is not a 9 by lexicality, and call such a proof "proof by lexicality."
